Healing and Wholeness for Every Woman
Welcome to Awaken Your Inner Home Woman, the show for spiritually rooted women who are hungry for change and growth. I am your host, Natalie Warren, and my mission as a personal development strategist and inner healer is to inspire, educate, and motivate women worldwide to stop limiting themselves and settling for less than what they want and were created to be. If you are ready to transform your life by getting out of your own way, hearing your soul's voice above the noise, and activating your life's purpose, you are at the best place. Let's tune in to today's episode of Awaken Your Inner Whole Woman. Hello, hello, hello, and welcome back to Awaken Your Inner Whole Woman Podcast. I am delighted that you are here, that you've chosen to be in this space at this time. Welcome back as well to Women Are Traveling to Heal series. We have been exploring why women around the world are journaling, I say journaling, are journeying to rest, to release, and to return to themselves. I'm your host, Natalie Warren. I'm a therapist, a retreat leader, and a woman who believes that healing doesn't happen in isolation, it happens in community. And so the last two episodes, if you missed it, we've been talking about the movement that this wave of women that are traveling to heal and the nervous system wisdom that we're gaining around how leaving home actually creates space for restoration. And today we're going to explore something just as sacred that I've seen unfold on every retreat, and that is sisterhood. Because no matter where we travel, whether it's in Morocco, Africa, in Bali, Indonesia, in Leftica, Greece, or the Georgia Mountains, Sedona, Arizona, Joshua Tree, one truth always reveals, and that is healing that deepens when we share it. So there's something powerful that happens when women come together with an open heart. Walls I've seen fall, masks slip, and in that space, transformation multiplies. So listen in, join in this conversation, share your thoughts in the chat as we talk about sisterhood. So for generations, women have gathered in circles around fires, around tables, around altars. And we've always known intuitively that we are stronger together. But in our modern lives, that wisdom oftentimes can get lost. We live in a world that celebrates independence, productivity, perfectionism, and quietly shame, softness, and vulnerability. We are taught to be strong, but not to need support, to hold space for everyone else, but rarely be held. Yet, from a psychological and spiritual lens, connection is medicine. So when we gather in community, some beautiful things happen. We'll start with the brain, where our brain starts to actually release oxetone. Oxytop is the hormone of trust and bot and bonding. Our nervous systems actually co-regulate. And when one woman breathes deeply, another body begins to mirror that safety. And when one woman shares her truth, another one realizes she's not alone. That's the science and the sacredness of sisterhood. And I've seen it, oh my goodness, and so many times. I've seen it. I've seen it in our circles where women start to realize they don't have to perform, that they have permission and space to just be, that they don't they're not met with judgment, but with a knowing that comes through the nods, through the eyes, that silently other women are saying, you know what, me too. And that kind of belonging rewires something deep inside of each of us. Because many women have lived their lives where they've had to wear the mask of I'm fine. But sisterhood whispers, you don't have to be fine to be loved. So let's talk about what this has looked like because I've witnessed this over and over again at my retreat. And when we were in Greece, let's just say we'll call her Angela, one of the women came to Greece alone. And she actually had the ability to see that she was in a circle of not just women who wanted to travel, but women who made it safe for her to be herself. And by the time I saw her connecting, laughing, crying, sharing, it was as if they had known each other for years. Even for her to even reflect to say, I came here alone, but I'm leaving with sisters. I didn't even know I needed. Imagining that. Or another woman who joined a retreat going through her own season of challenges, like many of us, having a breakthrough that happened with our breath work and without a word, the women in this in the circle embracing her, letting her know it's okay, and her realizing I didn't realize how long I had been trying to heal by myself. Yeah, this is exactly what happens in sisterhood. When we start to mirror one another, I have a saying that I say, if it's in the seat, it's in the room. And we can hold each other through what words can't touch. And something in us remembers I am not alone in this. And even as a facilitator, I have changed every time I host a retreat. I may guide the experience, but I am also deeply moved by witnessing women rising in each other's presence. Every retreat becomes a living prayer, a reminder that when women gather, healing ripples far beyond the circle. So let's talk about something real. The real thing that I often get, some of you may already have had this fear that comes up before saying yes to an experience like this. I can't tell you how many messages I have truly received from women saying, I'd love to come, but I don't have anybody to bring. Or I'm nervous because I am the new one. And if that's you, I want you to hear this. You are never alone in your desire to heal. I'll say that again. You are never alone in your desire to heal. Every woman who has ever said yes to the to one of my retreats felt some fear. But the moment she arrives, she realizes she's not walking into a group of strangers. She's walking into a gathering of souls who were meant to meet. It always touches my heart because I am clear that we were all sent, that it was divinely guided. We were divinely guided. There was divine intervention that led each and every one of us to that moment at that time for reasons that we don't even know. Understanding that we don't have to have it all together, you don't have to know anyone. What if your yes is the key that unlocks the next version of you? It takes courage to travel alone. We can say that. So from a spiritual perspective, community is both a mirror and a call and a calust. Every woman you meet on your journey reflects back to you a part of your story, your struggle, or your strength. And sometimes she mirrors who you used to be, other times she reflects who you're becoming. That is why a sacred community is such a fertile ground for transformation because we can't always see ourselves clearly until someone else holds a mirror up in love. When we sit in a circle and we hear each other's stories, we realize healing isn't linear, it's shared. Her breakthrough becomes your reminder. Her tears become your permission. Her laughter becomes your medicine. You begin to say, if she can, maybe I can too. That is the cathartic power of sisterhood. We rise through reflection, we expand through connection, and we heal through belonging. So for a moment, I want to invite you to do something with me and all of the amazing women that are listening. As I realize that I have my phone on. We all have one shared thing, and that's the breath. If it feels supportive and it's safe, closing your eyes if you can, placing your hand over your heart, taking a deep breath in through the nose, and exhale slowly through your mouth. Feel your breath move moving in rhythm with thousands of women around the world who are also on their own healing journeys. Women you may never meet, or who are walking beside you in the spirit. Now ask yourself this powerful question. Not to support someone else, not to fix or to hold, but to receive. To let someone help you, to let yourself cry in front of another woman and know it's safe. To let yourself be seen and to still be loved. You deserve that kind of res that kind of support. You deserve spaces where you can lie it all down and simply be held. And if it's been a while, maybe this is an invitation specifically for you to find or create that kind of sisterhood again. That invitation is so powerful because some of us are saying I need to find it, and then some are saying I can't find it. And that is a call for you to create it. I've been there. And so in this episode, if something spoke inside of you, if you're craving community or connection or spaces where you can simply exhale, because some of us don't need permission to breathe, we need space to breathe. I want to personally invite you to join me. And there are several ways to connect beyond this podcast that we host monthly community gatherings and breath work sessions that are free, no cost to you. And in our monthly virtual circles, women from all over come together to breathe, to release, and to return to ourselves. Another way that you can connect, where we have our upcoming retreats planned for 2026, spaces where sisterhood meets soul work, and every woman is welcomed exactly as you are. And you can find all of those details on our website, Awaken to Power, the number two, power.com backslash events. Or when you go on the website, just join our mailing list to stay connected and we'll ensure that you know about all the upcoming events or retreats. Because the truth is, you were never meant to heal alone. Every time a woman says yes to her healing, she lights a path for another woman. That's what this movement is really all about for me. It's about healing and community, rising in love, and remembering we belong to each other. Thank you for joining me for this series. Women are traveling to heal.
