Healing and Wholeness for Every Woman

SPEAKER_00:

Welcome to Awaken Your Inner Whole Woman, the show for spiritually rooted women who are hungry for change and growth. I am your host, Natalie Warren, and my mission as a personal development strategist and inner healer is to inspire, educate, and motivate women worldwide to stop limiting themselves and settling for less than what they want and were created to be. If you are ready to transform your life by getting out of your own way, hearing your soul's voice above the noise, and activating your life's purpose, you are at the best place. Let's tune in to today's episode of Awaken Your Inner Whole Woman. I am delighted that you are here, that you made a choice to click, to be in this space, to listen in. I am fully aware that you could be choosing to do so many other things, but a part of you knows that you are made for more, that you are ready to awaken to truth, to wake, awaken to healness, to consciousness. And you were led here. So in this series, we have been working on, we have been talking about women who are traveling to heal. And it's not by chance that you are listening to this episode number five, where we are integrating the journey and bringing the transformation home. So women are traveling to heal are all about women who have reset, released, and returned to themselves. And I'm your host, Natalie Warren, therapist, retreat leader, and a woman who has witnessed transformation in the mountains, in the deserts, in the jungles, and in the sacred waters of our world. In the last four episodes, we really explored the movement of women traveling to heal. We've explored the nervous system's wisdom, the power of sisterhood, and the spiritual pilgrimage that travel can become. But today we arrive at one of, I believe, one of the most important parts of the journey, and that is integration. Because true healing isn't just what happens when we are there in that place. It's what you carry home in your heart. So obviously, right, we go away and each of the retreats are going to end. And it can be easy to think that the experience is over. We return to our routines, the emails, the family noise, the noise of our world, and wonder how do I hold on to what I felt? But here's the truth the journey doesn't end when we board the planes. It simply changes form. In mythology, it's called the return. So after the heroes adventure, they come home. They are no longer the same. And I often say to my ladies, you're going home, a different person, but the people who you left behind are still the same. And so their task, each lady and myself, is to bring the wisdom back to our communities, to our relationships, to our lives. And that's what integration is: bringing the transformation home. So when a woman returns from a retreat, whether it's a three-day, a five-day, an eight-day, I often tell them your real retreat starts now. Because it's one thing to awaken in Bali or to breathe under the stars in Joshua Tree. And it's another thing to stay awake inside of your own home, your office in your daily life. Integration is the sacred bridge between who you were and who you are becoming. It's how you weave your new awareness into the fabric of your ordinary days. So let's talk about it. Let's talk about how to sustain your healing. Whether you've traveled around the world or you're creating moments of peace in your home, these practices can help you stay connected to whatever you have discovered. One of my favorites is breath work. Do you know that your breath is your anchor? So after a retreat, it helps you to reconnect to that same sense of calm and clarity you felt in sacred spaces. And just five minutes a day. Doesn't have to be long. It doesn't have to be time consuming. It just needs to be deep and intentional. This can actually remind your nervous system we're safe or home. Even trying a simple practice like inhaling through the nose for four counts, holding for four counts, and exhaling for six. If you were to do this three times a day, when you wake up, maybe in the middle of the day or before bed, this can be a daily reset, your own mini-retreat that you can do with yourself. Secondly, rituals. A ritual could look like lighting a candle before you start your day. One of the ladies says she's continuing, she's continuing her morning wellness time. She comes downstairs, it's quiet, everyone's asleep. She lights a candle and she reads her journals. Something like that. We can pour a slow, pour tea slowly and sip and being present, playing music while you're journaling. These are rituals that remind the body that life itself is a ceremony. Number three, sisterhood. If you missed it, I did a whole episode on sisterhood and healing and growing in community. Because healing grows in community. Staying connected with women who share the journey with you, text threads, monthly check-ins, virtual circles, in-person opportunities. You can also join local sister circles, or if you'd like, become a part of our upcoming breathwork community sessions that are free, no charge to anyone. Because integration isn't a solo act, it is a collective remembering. Journaling, the reflections that are happening can continue to happen. That your journal becomes your sacred witness. It's a place where you process emotions, you record insights, you celebrate growth and wins, maybe even starting your day with some empowering questions around what am I carrying forward from the journey? What do I need to release today? I ask that question every day. God, what is it that I need to release or let go of today? What am I grateful for to have discovered about myself? The pen becomes your companion, a gentle guide back to truth. There's something beautiful and sometimes even bittersweet about coming home after a retreat. And I'm aware of it, right? We have a range of emotions that could be present. You might notice tension when you step back into your familiar patterns. The world around you may not have changed. As I mentioned before, I tell them that often, but you have. This is sacred. It's a part of where transformation integrates into the real world. You may be called to make new choices. Many of us are, in how we rest, how we speak to ourselves, how we connect with others. We may find ourselves craving simplicity, silence, or time in nature, which I miss when I come back. Honor each of those. Integration doesn't mean holding tightly to the retreat experience. It really means letting it breathe life through you. Maybe you start noticing beauty in ordinary places. Maybe you give yourself permission to pause. Maybe you trust your intuition faster or forgive yourself sooner. These are all the signs that the retreat lives on, not as a memory, but as a new way of being. Now, if you haven't traveled yet on a retreat, this episode is still for you because healing journeys don't always require a plane ticket. So don't discount your ability to have this experience. You can begin exactly where you are in this moment. And we're going to call them micro pilgrimages. That where you currently are, you can do something different. Like take a walk, a slow walk through your neighborhood, through the park, not for exercise, but for wonder and noticing. Spend a moment in silence with your phone on airplane mode. Visit a local garden and let the earth hold you. Light some incense, breathe intentionally as you reflect on what's shifting within me. These are ways that you can have your own experiences. And that same healing energy that moves in Bali or Africa, also, let's be honest, can live in your own backyard if you create space for it. Your life can become a living pilgrimage when you treat each moment as sacred. So let's create space in this moment. If it's safe and supportive, closing our eyes for just a moment, taking in a slow, deep, intentional breath, and receive this blessing that I'm sharing over you. May your breath remind you of your wholeness. May the lessons of your journey root deeply into your daily life. May your home become sanctuary, not where you escape, but where you return. May your body stay soft, your heart stay open, and your spirit stay curious. And when life starts to feel heavy again, may you remember the sound of your own exhale. That sacred reminder that peace lives inside of you. You are still traveling to heal. But now the destination is here. Taking another deep breath in through the nose, exhaling fully and completely out through the mouth. And no, you're home. And as this episode is coming to the close, and as we are coming to the end of our series, I want to thank you. Thank you for journeying journeying being on the journey with me. And if your soul has been whispering that it's time for your next chapter of healing, of transformation, of awakening, I just want to invite you to share. I want to invite you to be a part of the journey with us. That we have a retreat interest list. And you can get information about that in the footnotes to receive updates on upcoming destinations that we'll have within the states and around the world. And maybe it's time for you to explore and join our community breathwork sessions where we learn to stay grounded and connected, even in a world that's always going fast and is noisy. And then you could also look into joining our mailing lists to stay to breath up to speed on what we have next in the community. Because when you're traveling around oceans or cross oceans or sitting quietly at your home, your healing actually continues and you're living your integration story every single day. Thank you again for listening into this special episode series: Women Are Traveling to Heal. If this series has touched your heart, please share with me as well as another woman who's ready to rest, release, and return to herself. Until next time, pause, breathe, and trust your journey.
